Two years after the discontinuation of the previous generation, Citroën tells us more about its future replacement. On June 30 the french manufacturer will officially present the new Citroën C4 and its 100% electric version called ë-C4.
Electricity requires in the PSA group with the latest Peugeot e-208, e-2008, e-Traveler and other Opel Corsa-E, the next generation of the C4 will also benefit from a 100% electric engine in its range, like his big brother the ë-Jumpy.
Since the beginning of last May, the French manufacturer has been carrying out marketing campaigns to announce the arrival of its new compact sedan.
Unlike the Peugeot 308, which is based on the EMP2 technical basis, the new C4 should take over the platform of the Peugeot 208 and DS3 Crossback (CMP). Its electric version should, therefore, use the same traction, namely an electric motor of 100 kW (about 136 hp) powered by a battery with a capacity of 50 kWh. The range should be between 310 and 340 kilometres, according to the new WLTP certification protocol.
