Mercedes unveiled today the world premiere of the new SLS AMG Black Series, the most powerful and lightest super-car from Stuttgart.
Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series uses the same 6.2-liter V8 engine, capable of reaching 8,000 rpm and having 622 horsepower. It's even more than Mercedes SLS AMG GT, which came with only 583 horses. With such resources, the new SLS AMG Black Series improves its sprint from 0 to 60 mph by 0.2 seconds and manage to reach this speed in just 3.5 seconds. Speed reaches a value also worthy of a super-car: 196mph (315 km / h). Even so, Mercedes-Benz claims that the special edition car can register an average fuel consumption of 13.7 litres/100 km, while ensuring emissions of 321 g / km.
To better differentiate SLS AMG Black Series, Mercedes and AMG division borrowed some ideas from already known SLS AMG GT3. Its the car's track width has increased by 0.8/0.9 inches front/rear, 20-inch wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series weigh it's just 3417 pounds, 154 pounds less than the SLS AMG GT.
