Following a first evolution at the end of 2021 that improved the range by 6.5 percent or 22 kilometers, the Peugeot e-208 underwent a substantial technological shift in 2023, including the new engine from the Peugeot e-308. Maximum power is boosted by 15%, from 100 kW/136 hp to 115 kW/156 hp. At the same time, considerable efficiency work decreases average energy consumption to just 12 kWh and range by 10.5 percent, increasing from 38 km to 400 km.

The Peugeot e-208, the electric version of the Peugeot 208, looks great, boasts cutting-edge technology, and provides additional driving enjoyment. With its tiny steering wheel, the Peugeot i-Cockpit further improves driving experience and handling. Its many attributes have made it a massive hit with clients. Since its debut in 2019, around 110,000 units have been produced. Above all, the Peugeot e-208 has been the European market leader in the electric B-segment since the beginning of 2022, ranking first among all electric vehicles sold in France during the same period.

2023 Peugeot e-208 will be equipped with the Peugeot e-308's new powertrain. It will, after that, have a range of up to 400 kilometers.

The new Peugeot e-208 100% electric model features a new 115 kW/156 hp engine, an additional 15 kW (20 hp), and 260 Nm of torque available from 0 km/h for rapid responsiveness. The result is even more driving pleasure, with no vibrations, noise, gear changes, odor, or CO 2 emissions. The new power supply is a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery of the current generation with a capacity of 48.1 kWh.

The development of this new powertrain and the Peugeot e-208 has been centered on efficiency, as these advancements allow for a relatively low average consumption of roughly 12 kWh per 100 km.

The Peugeot e-208 had already benefited from a technological advancement that boosted its efficiency. The Peugeot e-208 has gained 17.65% more range and 15% reduced energy consumption since its launch.

For the Peugeot e-208, two chargers are available: the basic single-phase on-board charger with a power output of 7.4 kW and the three-phase on-board charger with an output of 11 kW. Furthermore, the Peugeot e-208 may be charged quickly. It can be charged from 20% to 80% in under 25 minutes at a 100 kW public charging station.

Drivers can boost range or performance by selecting one of three possible driving modes, Eco, Normal, or Sport, via a push button on the center console. 
The delay while releasing the accelerator pedal can be prolonged with the Active Safety Brake Plus, triggered by another button on the transmission controls, to improve energy recovery.
