The new Peugeot 408 has won this year's "WOW Car of the Year" award in the SUV category. Carwow, a new vehicle comparison website, presented this award for the first time this year. The Peugeot 408 persuaded the expert panel out of a total of 55 automobiles that hit the market in 2022. The drive, design, interior, practicality, and affordability were all prioritized.
The new Peugeot 408 won in the categories of "drive, range, and charging time" for e-cars, "drive and consumption" for combustion engines, "interior, infotainment, and equipment," "space and practicality," "design," and "value for money" according to expert evaluation.
The Peugeot 408 won the race with 84 points out of a possible 100, with the criteria occasionally having varying weightings. In terms of design, the new Fastback received the most points.
The new Peugeot 408's exterior design is distinguished by aggressive lines that stand out, especially at the back, the roof end, the boot lid, and the base of the fenders, creating sharp facets that play with light.
In terms of "interior, infotainment, and equipment," the Peugeot 408 came close to the total score. On board the Peugeot 408, a comprehensive suite of up to 30 cutting-edge driver assistance technologies, such as blind spot recognition and a reversing camera with a 180° view of the surroundings, ensures better safety and convenience of driving, navigating, and traveling. The latest Peugeot i-Cockpit version with the i-Connect infotainment system blends connectivity and comfort.
The Peugeot 408 is designed for efficiency and can be supplied with low-emission petrol engines and plug-in hybrid motors. A new Peugeot 408 fully electric version will be released later.
